The best part about going back to school? College Football.
This past weekend was The Battle of Pennsylvania, one of the most hyped up in-state college football games of the season. My University of Pittsburgh Panthers took the field in their retro uniforms at State College against the Nittany Lions. Even though the outcome wasn’t exactly as we had hoped (it was a pretty bad loss), it was a great game that gave me and my roommate the perfect excuse to wear some of our favorite game day outfits.
Lexi was definitely inspired by our team’s choice to wear their retro uniforms this weekend. The focal point of her outfit is her long sleeve tucked into her button up denim skirt, giving her look a retro vibe matching that of our Panthers.
Her daily style is very detail oriented so I’d expect nothing less of her game day style. Her gold jewelry, blue scrunchie, and Pitt socks give the perfect amount of school spirited detail without over doing it.
My game day outfit is a little edgier than Lexi’s. My shirt is one that I DIY’d and I decided to pair it with my favorite black jeans, cuffed at the bottom, and tie a blue button up shirt around my waist.
To complete the look, I threw on my favorite pair of white sneakers and added a braid in my hair for a little bit of texture.
