Can I Have the AUX: Workout Edition

A quick back-to-back installment of this series solely because today, August 13th, I received my first Pitt CHAARG challenge! For those of you who don’t know, CHAARG is a campus organization designed to “liberate girls from the elliptical” and create a supportive, positive community for girls to achieve their fit goals. It’s a way to always have a workout buddy on deck and to branch out your workout repertoire by trying out a variety of new classes. We receive weekly newsletters with different workouts, healthy food ideas, and little tidbits of inspiration.  You can check out their website for more information (and to check if there’s at chapter at your university) if you’re interested but it’s a super cool way to meet likeminded people and give yourself a little extra love.

This is my first semester as a “chaargie” and I’m beyond pumped. In honor of the first challenge of the semester, runCHAARG, I’m bringing you my favorite workout playlist. Running is my weak spot — I’ve never been good at it. To give you an idea, I ran my 7th grade mile in 14 minutes…I was one of the last kids to finish and I haven’t gotten much better at it since. It’s pretty embarrassing, actually, but it’s the truth. So when I woke up this morning and saw what a beautiful day it was and that runCHAARG was starting, I kicked myself into gear. I’m lucky enough to live right across the street from a park with a beautiful trail so I tied up my Nike’s and pressed play on my iPhone and jogged my way into a sweaty, sweaty mess.

Because I hate running, the playlist I choose has to be good enough to distract me from the fact that, ugh, I’m running. Here’s what gets me through:

The Way I Do — Bishop Briggs

Touch — Nick Jonas

Final Song —

Wild Horses (Remix) — Birdy, Sam Feldt

Higher — The Naked and Famous

No Promises (feat. Demi Lovato) — Cheat Codes

Survivor — Destiny’s Child

Bootylicious — Destiny’s Child

Work B**ch — Britney Spears

Work It — Missy Elliot

Right Now — Rihanna, Drake

Closer — Tegan and Sara

Get Me Bodied — Beyonce

7/11 – Beyonce

Promiscious — Nelly Furtado, Timbaland

More Than You Know — Axwell /\ Ingrosso

My Way — Calvin Harris

Closer — The Chainsmokers

Say You Won’t Let Go (Remix) — James Arthur, Luca Schreiner

Happy running 🙂

xx, Chloe
